10 - Is the IELTS Academic - General IELTS exam paper-based or computer-based?
The IELTS Academic or General Test can be taken on paper or on computer. Both types can be taken at one of the approved IELTS test centres. The difference between the paper-based or computer-based test is the timing of the speaking test.
If you apply for the paper-based IELTS test, your speaking test date will be set on the same day as the test sections, no later than 7 days before or after the main test day, and you will be notified by the exam authority. TOEFL Speaking Section: Using a microphone to record your voice and then evaluate it later
TOEFL is based on American English: The questions, texts and contexts used in the questions are based on American English including listening and speaking.
TOEFL exam : Computer-based, so it requires the person to have good typing speed skills on the computer to be able to finish the writing section on time, as it requires him to write an academic essay.
TOEFL exam duration: 4 full hours including all sections.
TOEFL is accepted by: all American universities, the top 100 universities in the world, and many institutions and centers in more than 130 countries, including the United States and Canada.
