Emirates AMSAT Test Overview

Emirates Standardized Test ( EMSAT ) is a national system of computer-based testing administered to assess student achievement and eligibility for college admission.

Based on the curricula and standards of the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, the 2023 AMSAT tests will be conducted and cover subjects such as mathematics , science, English , and social sciences.

Exams will be scored based on the student's performance in each subject and used to determine his or her readiness for college .

Students who wish to take the Emirates AMSAT test must meet certain eligibility requirements, for example:

• They must be residents of the UAE and must be of a certain age (16+).
• In addition, students must have a high school diploma from a recognized institution.
• Students wishing to take the 2023 EMSAT exams should be aware of the language requirements for the test.
• Non-native Arabic speakers must pass an Arabic placement test before taking the EmSAT exam, while students applying for undergraduate and graduate admission must have proof of English language proficiency such as IELTS, TOEFL or EmSAT English.

AMSAT exam registration process

The registration fee depends on the test category and the number of tests taken. They must also pay a fee for each test they take. The test fees are determined as follows:

• Citizen twelfth grade students take the test for free for the first time in the basic subjects (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Physics), and for the rest of the subjects, they pay 100 UAE dirhams for each subject. However, in the event of retesting, the student pays 100 UAE dirhams for each subject.
• In the case of non-citizen twelfth grade students, the 2023 AMSAT exam fees are 300 dirhams for the basic subjects (Arabic, English, Mathematics, Physics). In the event of other subjects or retesting, the student pays 100 dirhams for each subject.
• While in the case of students nominated for other than the twelfth grade, the student pays 250 dirhams for each subject, and when repeating, 100 dirhams for each subject (repetition only once).

Understanding the test format and structure
