EMSAT or Standardized Tests in the Emirates; it is a group of electronic tests such as aptitude tests that aim to identify the level of students in different educational stages.
What is the purpose of the EMSAT test?
The main objective of these tests is to determine the extent to which students have acquired the necessary skills in the fields. which they have chosen, so it is important to evaluate students' performance and measure how much information they have.
To know the extent of their readiness for advanced educational stages, and whether they have been able to acquire the information they need to know, in addition to providing them with the appropriate means to support them to achieve this.
The main objective of the EMSAT exam was not only to know the level of students and evaluate their performance, but also to evaluate the suitability of the educational system itself for students of all mental levels and academic inclinations.
This test aims to accurately determine the student's level, and based on the performance results , the educational system is evaluated as to whether it is appropriate or needs development and improvement. This is also according to a specific system that adopts individual support plans, starting with students who need to undergo intensification to keep up with their colleagues, and up to students who are looking for ways to learn that suit them.
The EMSAT tests are not concerned with a fixed system for setting exams or evaluation, as the test is not only for a specific age group, subject or specialization, but the EMSAT test is for various educational age stages and almost all specialization subjects are tested in it.
But the only difference is that the difference is in the degree of difficulty according to the current educational stage, and the stages of the EMSAT test are divided into three stages:
- Primary stage
It tests children in kindergarten who are progressing to first grade.
It measures children's basic skills, such as reading, writing and arithmetic.
- Sequential stage
In which students are tested in educational stages 4, 6, 8 and 10.
In which students study the following subjects:
.
Which consists of two stages:
- Achievement 12
It tests students in the twelfth grade or high school.
- completion
Or in other words, university admission tests, in which students who wish to enroll in colleges are tested.
At this stage, students are tested in the following subjects: Arabic , English , Mathematics , Biology , Chemistry , Physics , and Computer Science .
As we described that the EMSAT exam includes most of the subjects, in this article we will talk about the EMSAT Chemistry exam and the most important things that must be known.

What is the AMSAT Chemistry exam?
The AMSAT Chemistry exam is an electronic exam that aims to determine and evaluate the level of students in the subject of chemistry . Since chemistry is one of the specialized subjects, this exam is only applied to students in the secondary school stage, i.e. the twelfth grade.
What is the importance of the AMSAT Chemistry exam?
This exam is of particular importance for students in scientific disciplines, who intend to apply to scientific colleges such as medicine, science and mathematics.
However, it is important to know the requirements of the chosen college, i.e. the grades required in each subject, depending on the specialization and college, to focus and train on this basis and ensure qualification.
For example, the College of Medicine and Health Sciences requires a minimum score of 1100 on the EMSAT Chemistry exam , while Engineering requires a minimum score of 900 on the EMSAT Chemistry exam. Of course, these requirements vary from university to university and department, so these requirements must be taken into consideration.
How to pass the AMSAT Chemistry exam?
Many people consider the AMSAT Chemistry exam difficult due to the difficulty of the subject and the diversity of its branches. It often includes multiple questions that vary between the parts of matter and their properties, energy, and force, in addition to the law of conservation of matter. The division is as follows:
- The percentage of test questions from the material and its properties section is equivalent to 55% to 65%.
- While the percentage of questions from the force, energy, and law of conservation of matter section is equivalent to 35% to 45%.
The AMSAT Chemistry exam consists of 40 questions randomly distributed among four sections: multiple choice, fill in the blank, choose the correct answer, and drag to the correct place. The exam must be completed in no more than 90 minutes.
As we mentioned earlier, the test is electronic, so the questions are not fixed. They differ according to the student’s level. That is, when the answer is correct, the difficulty level of the test is increased, and vice versa. When the answer is incorrect, the difficulty level of the exam is reduced to match the student’s level.
To pass the AMSAT Chemistry exam, we must adhere to several steps, which are:
1. Understand the basics of chemistry
That is, identifying the most important basic concepts and fixed rules that are important to know and on which the rest of the material is based.
- Memorize common equations and reactions.
Try as much as possible to practice the most important equations and reactions known in chemistry that are important and are widely used in exams.
3. Practice on previous exam models.
As is well known, the best way to get to know the exam system, the questions, how to solve them and the answer format, in addition to getting rid of the stress resulting from exam fear, is simply to practice on previous exam models .
4. Find a coach or specialized entity
You can search for specialized training courses in the chemistry exams, whether a trainer or an entity, but the most important thing is that they are familiar with the exam system followed.
5. Set a fixed plan
It is very important to organize a schedule or set a fixed plan for studying, based on the established curriculum and arranging lessons and priorities accordingly.
6. Awareness of and preparation for different specializations
Chemistry contains a number of diverse and different specializations, so it is preferable to arrange the plan according to these specializations and their difficulty for the student.
Chemistry specializations are divided into:
- 1. Organic Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Industrial Chemistry
- Physical Chemistry
- Electrochemistry
- photochemistry
- Thermochemistry

What is the passing score for the AMSAT Chemistry exam?
Students in the AMSAT Chemistry exam are divided into 6 levels, which symbolize the student’s degree of mastery of the subject, which are:
- Advanced level: The student’s grade point average is between 1500 and 2000, which means that the student is highly qualified and efficient.
- Proficient level: The average score ranges from 1475 to 1100, and means that the student has the skill that qualifies him to join any college specializing in chemistry or a similar specialization.
- Intermediate level: The average score ranges from 900 to 1075. This average is considered the minimum score for students wishing to enroll in any track related to chemistry.
- Beginner level: The average score ranges from 700 to 875 points. From this level, students begin to need support and intensification in some topics related to the subject.
- Level in need of improvement: The test score ranges from 500 to 675, which means that students have a gap in some concepts or basics of the subject.
- Weak level: The average score ranges between 500 and less, which means that the students’ knowledge of the subject itself and its basics is weak and needs intensive support.
Thus, we have learned about the most important main concepts that must be aware of regarding the AMSAT Chemistry exam, what are the specializations and how to deal with the test, and the average score for admission to colleges.
