The Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates is the sole authority responsible for education in all government schools. The Ministry has developed a framework that includes a wide range of educational materials, based on a set of educational and professional standards.
The Ministry of Education curriculum is designed in a manner that is consistent with the national values and culture of the country. The Ministry of Education curriculum is taught in all emirates of the country and is recognized by colleges and universities throughout the country. Arabic is the language of instruction for all subjects, except English.
As for the educational stages in the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry applies the following four educational stages in government schools: Kindergarten KG1 and KG2, which is a non-compulsory stage, the foundation cycle or the first cycle (from grades 1 to 4) , the second cycle from grades 5 to 8, and finally the third cycle, which is the secondary stage (from grades 9 to 12) , which begins after the completion of the previous intermediate stage, and we will talk about it in some detail in the following lines.

Academic Tracks in the Third Cycle (Secondary Education)
It is worth noting that this stage previously consisted of only two tracks (the scientific track and the literary track). Of course, the scientific track focused on science and mathematics subjects, and the literary track focused on languages and general literature.
With the development taking place in the labor market, the growing capabilities of students, and the tremendous technological development, many amendments have been made to the educational tracks in the secondary stage, to become four tracks instead of two, with the aim of enhancing, strengthening, and developing the various skills and capabilities of students, which helps them prepare adequately to face the labor market and prepare new, distinguished leaders for the future.
