Many people seek to transfer and study in prestigious Emirati universities due to the efforts made and dedication in the educational process and the strength of Emirati academic certificates in various specializations.

The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research provides equivalency for certificates issued by educational institutions recognized outside the country.

Steps to request equivalency of academic certificate:

  1. Register a new account, or log in with your user account, or via your digital ID.
  2. Complete the data and attach the required documents.
  3. Review your application.
  4. Communicate with the customer in case of any deficiencies.
  5. Pay the fees.
  6. Make a decision on the transaction (equivalency/apology), and send it via the email registered in your account.

note :

  • Some cases require that the application be referred to the committee.
  • Your application will be closed after (7) days if the required documents are not provided, after contacting the certificate equivalency specialist. You will be contacted (3) times maximum to provide the required documents before the application is closed.

  • Attestation of certificates from councils and educational bodies within the country according to the emirate to which it belongs.
  • Legal translation of the certificate if the certificate is issued in a language other than Arabic or English.

Note : Certificates issued through the distance learning system, Open School, or GED placement test are not equivalent to the curriculum provided, or any academic study that is not related to the educational system.

General attachments required in all cases:

      • Valid student passport.
      • Valid student ID (if applicable).
      • A copy of the certificates for the last (3) academic grades for secondary school equivalency in the various curricula.
      • Providing the ministerial exam for the Arabic language subject for holders of Arab passports.
      • Providing the ministerial exam for the subject of Islamic education for Muslim students only.

American curriculum

  • Graduation Diploma
  • Mark sheets for grades (tenth, eleventh, and twelfth).
  • The student must pass (5) approved subjects (Note: Arabic Language and Islamic Education are not included in these subjects).
  • Citizen students:
    • Pass the ( EMSAT English ) exam successfully with a minimum score of (1100).
    • Passing the ( EMSATMath ) exam successfully with a minimum score of (500).
  • Resident students:
    • Successfully pass one of the following English language tests: (EMSAT English 1100) minimum / (Academic IELTS 5.0) minimum / (TOEFL IBT 61) minimum.

Successfully pass one of the following tests in mathematics: (EMSAT Math 500) minimum / (SAT1 Math 450) minimum.

British curriculum

  • Certificate of completion of Grade 12 or Year 13.
  • Passing (5) approved subjects at the ordinary level (GCSE/IGCSE) with one of the following grades: (A*, A, B, C, D, E), excluding the subjects of Arabic Language and Islamic Education.
  • Passing two (2) subjects from the Advanced Subsidiary Level or one (1) subject from the Advanced Level with one of the following grades (A*, A, B, C, D) without counting the subjects of Arabic Language and Islamic Education.

General attachments required in all cases:

    • Valid student passport.
    • Valid student ID (if applicable).
    • A copy of the certificates for the last (3) academic grades for secondary school equivalency in the various curricula.
    • Providing the ministerial exam for the Arabic language subject for holders of Arab passports.
    • Providing the ministerial exam for the subject of Islamic education for Muslim students only.

International Baccalaureate Curriculum

International Baccalaureate Diploma

  • The student must successfully complete the twelfth grade, or its equivalent.
  • The student must successfully pass one of the following two tracks:
  • Track One ( IB Diploma):
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma without Islamic Education as one of the subjects required to obtain the diploma.
    • International Baccalaureate Diploma transcript.
  • Track 2 ( IB Certificate):
    • International Baccalaureate Certificate: The student must pass (6) subjects from the subjects approved for the International Baccalaureate (IB Certificate), without including Islamic Education among the required subjects, according to the following conditions:
      • The grade of any subject should not be less than (3).
      • The student’s total score should not be less than (21) points.

Passing the compulsory subjects (English, Mathematics , one of the science subjects) from among the six (6) subjects required for equivalence at the Standard Level (SL) or Higher Level (HL).

Canadian curriculum

  • High school diploma, issued by the region that granted the school recognition, and duly certified
  • Certificates of successful completion of grades (10, 11, 12) according to the curriculum and study plan of the region.

Australian curriculum

  • A high school diploma, issued by the state or territory that granted the school recognition, and duly certified.
  • · Successful completion of grades (10, 11, 12) according to the state or region’s curriculum and study plan.

French Baccalaureate Curriculum

  • French Baccalaureate Diploma.
  • Certificates of grades (10, 11, 12) successfully completed according to the curriculum.

Countries that apply the curriculum of the former Soviet Union

Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, etc.:

  • Accredited academic certificates with at least (11) academic years.
  • Final certificate, and transcript of grades for the last (3) years of study, or (ninth grade certificate + two years of study to complete secondary school).

Indian and Pakistani curriculum

  • My final 10th and 12th grade (10 + 12) certificates.
  • A transcript of grades for both stages, certified by the Ministry of Education or the Education Board.

Three-year diploma system (India, Pakistan) :

  • Diploma certificate + three-year diploma transcript certified by the Ministry of Education or the Education Board, duly certified.
  • Tenth grade certificate + tenth grade transcript certified by the Ministry of Education or the Education Board (Board) duly certified.

Iranian curriculum

  • A copy of the graduation certificate.
  • A picture of the transcript of grades: tenth, eleventh and twelfth.
