5-   Measure skills in interpreting unit fractions and decimal relationships to solve mathematical problems.

Section Two: Ink, which represents 5-15% of the test and aims to measure students’ ability in

Section Three: Geometry and Measurement, which represents 20-30% of the test and aims to measure students’ ability in:

  1.   Skills of using shapes to solve mathematical problems
  2. Skills of applying area concepts to solve mathematical problems
  3.   Skills of the properties of the area between multiplication and its relationship to addition
  4. How to recognize the perimeter as a characteristic of plane figures
  5.  How to Solve Math Problems Involving Time and Money
  6. Mathematical problem solving skills involving measurement, time estimation, liquid volumes, and masses of objects.

Section Four: Statistics, which represents 5-15% of the test and aims to measure students’ ability in:

The sixth grade sequential test consists of four sections, which are as follows:

The first section is number and quantity, which represents 45-55% of the exam and aims to measure the student’s ability in the following:

1-    Skills of applying the four arithmetic operations to real-life problems

2-   Skills in using place value to solve problems involving multi-digit whole numbers.

3- How to apply the properties of fractional equivalence and order to solve mathematical problems

4-   How to use fractions to solve problems involving whole numbers

5-   Applying the relationship between fractions and decimals to solve mathematical problems

6-   Skills in performing operations using multi-digit whole numbers and decimal numbers to the hundredths place

7-  Using Equivalence of Fractions as a Strategy for Adding and Subtracting Fractions

8-  Interpretation of factors and complications

9- Apply and expand the previous understanding of multiplication and division and use it to multiply and divide fractions.

Section Two: Algebra, which represents 10 to 15% of the test and aims to measure the student’s ability in

  1. Writing and interpreting numerical expressions
  2. Analyze patterns and relationships

Section Three: Geometry and Measurement represents 20-30% of the test and aims to measure the student’s ability in

  1.  Skills of using properties of shapes to understand angles
  2. Skills in applying the properties of lines, angles, and shapes to solve mathematical problems.
  3.  Mathematical problem solving skills involving fluid, volumes and masses of objects
  4. Skills of applying points on the coordinate plane to solve mathematical and life problems
  5. Using the properties of two-dimensional shapes to solve mathematical problems

The eighth grade sequential test consists of four sections, which are as follows:

Section One: Number and Quantity, representing 30-40% of the AMSAT Mathematics Sequential Test.

It aims to measure the student's skills in

1-      Using ratio concepts to solve mathematical problems

2-      Analyze proportional relationships and use them to solve mathematical and life problems.

3-      Apply operations with fractions to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers and relative quantities.

Section Two: Algebra, which represents 25-35% of the AMSAT Mathematics Sequential Test.

It aims to measure the student's skills in

1- Solving equations and inequalities with one variable

2- Analyzing the quantitative relationships between independent and dependent variables.

3- Use process properties to produce equivalent expressions.

4- Solving life and mathematical problems using algebraic and numerical quantities and equations.

Section 3: Geometry and Measurement represents 20-30% of the AMSAT Mathematics Sequential Test.

Aims to measure students' skills

1-    Description and interpretation of geometric shapes and the relationships between them

2- Solving life and mathematical problems including measuring angles, area, surface area and volume.

Section Four: Statistics and Probability, which represents 10-20% of the AMSAT Mathematics Sequential Test.

It aims to measure students' skills in

  1. Using basic statistical measures to solve problems
  2. Interpretation of distributions
  3. Using random samples to draw interpretations and conclusions about a population
  4. Interpreting comparative data between two communities
  5. Using probability models to solve problems

The tenth grade sequential test consists of four sections, which are as follows:

     Section Two: Algebra, which represents 30-40% of the exam and measures the student’s ability to:

    3. Finding and comparing functions
    4. Using functions to model relationships between quantities
    5. Interpretation of the composition of quantities
